Frequently asked questions
Can I display the logo?
Only members (Student grade not included) who work at, or are legally responsible for, a company that meets the Propertymark Protected criteria will have access to the logos. This means your agency's Principal, Partner or Director is a Propertymark member and regulates the company through their membership.
This way we limit any uncertainties consumers may have surrounding the protection afforded to them when they see the logo. You can use the Find an Expert search to check whether your company is Propertymark Protected.
If you are not currently entitled to display the logo, please remember you are just as important to Propertymark and we continue to support you with information and events designed to boost your professional skills and status.
We encourage you to discuss your personal membership with customers to demonstrate your own professionalism and commitment to best practice. Tell prospective clients that membership is not compulsory and that you have chosen to abide by our Conduct and Membership Rules and Code of Practice to ensure you are always offering the best possible service.
What are post nominals/designatory letters?
Once you are a member you can display your membership's post nominals. They differ to post nominals received from achieving qualifications, instead the membership post nominals highlight your commitment to professionalism through belonging to a professional body alongside being qualified and/or experienced.
Display your designatory letters on your business cards, email signatures and work-based social media profiles. It is a fantastic way to promote your credibility and kick-start conversations with your clients around the importance of using a qualified and/or experienced agent who abides by our conduct and membership rules.
