The Certificate in Property Agency qualification has been designed with a structure to enable learners to develop and evidence knowledge of jurisdiction and the fields of residential lettings, residential sales or commercial to demonstrate they are truly professional property agents.

This qualification is ideal if you're working, or aspiring to work, in residential lettings, residential sales or commercial property and want to ensure you have the knowledge required to be a professional property agent.
Bespoke learning
All learners must complete the first two units covering the Role and Practice of a Property Professional. They can then choose a further option for Unit 3 – General Law and Practice for Property Agents – based on where they practice, England/Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland enabling them to shape their qualification flexibly.
Unit 4 delivers specialism in Residential Lettings, Sale of Residential Property, or Commercial Property Practice (England and Wales only) again further subdivided by jurisdiction, providing the learner with a pinpoint focus on the knowledge they need in practice.
A learner can then continue to add other variants of Units 3 and 4 to expand expertise in further disciplines and jurisdictions, without having to complete Units 1 and 2 again.
Distance learning with remote invigilation
All qualifications certificated by Propertymark Qualifications are available as distance learning and can easily fit into property professionals' busy schedules. As with all their qualifications, the new Level 3 has a wide range of online resources, specifications, exam Q&As, high-quality self-study materials, and both live and pre-recorded webinars so learners can choose the study methods that suit them best.
Exams are delivered remotely, too, using remote invigilation via an assessment platform. Learners can book their exam at a time of their choosing and sit the exam in any suitable location in the UK, so long as there is a stable internet connection.

Learners already on their journey
Anyone currently studying for an existing Level 3 can continue their journey with exams available until 30 September 2027. Alternatively, where studying has not commenced and exams have not been sat, they can transfer onto the new Level 3 qualification free of charge by contacting [email protected].
With the ever-changing landscape for property professionals, recognising property agents are increasingly stretched and cross over into different specialisms, it is imperative that qualifications continue to meet the sector's needs. This is why our new Level 3 has been designed in such a way to provide flexibility for learners working in various specialisms and across different parts of the UK.
